With same-day electricity, your power can be activated the very day you enroll in a new energy plan. Octopus Energy offers same-day service with a cutoff time of 4 p.m., Monday through Saturday. To ensure a smooth move and avoid delays, its best to sign up earlier in the day. If you miss the cutoff, your electricity will be connected the following day.

    Octopus Energy Early Termination Fees (ETFs)

    Early Termination Fees (ETFs) are charges applied if you cancel or switch your plan before the contract ends. If you move outside the Octopus Energy service area, you will not be required to pay an ETF. For 12-month plans with Octopus Energy, the ETF is $150.
